Sharon was born an activist. From youth she was upset by the hatred people feel based on a person’s skin color, religion, sexual orientation, or gender. Born at the end of World War II, the shadow of the Holocaust instilled in her a great outrage towards injustice and the desire to fight abuse of any kind.
Sharon believes in capitalism, but realizes that, in so many cases, the free markets have not trickled down, jobs are shipped overseas, profits stay at the top and many big corporations refuse to pay their fair share of taxes. She is committed to doing what she can to make it possible for the middle class to thrive and for our families can have a decent lives.
