Kaye Gamble lived in Cairo, Egypt from 1981 to 1983. She saw firsthand how most of the people lived in poverty and only the few that were wealthy had any real power. After returning to America, she became active in the League of Women Voters, Fox Valley Citizens for Peace & Justice, Move to Amend and The Coalition to Restore Democracy. In 2012 she and other activist from Move to Amend collected over 14,000 signatures to place an Advisory Question on the ballot in Kane County calling for an amendment to the Constitution to limit corporate, special interest and private money in elections. The Advisory Question passed by 73%. Her goal is to educate and organize people to build power for a true democracy in the U.S.
